2. Hosting and delivery via Cloudflare
This website is provided via Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare delivers the pages through a global server network and protects them against attacks. In doing so, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, the address requested, and browser and device information. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, fast and stable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses also apply. More information: Cloudflare privacy policy.
3. Server log files
We do not ourselves analyse access logs containing personal data. Cloudflare stores connection and security data only for as long as necessary for delivery, troubleshooting and defence against attacks.
4. No cookies, no tracking tools
This website does not set cookies for analytics or advertising and does not use tracking services. Fonts are loaded locally from this website; no connection is made to Google Fonts or other font providers.
5. Contact and participation forms
If you contact us via a form, we process your details (name, email, and where applicable phone number, company, location, area, preferred storage types and message) in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The details are not stored on the website but are transmitted directly:
- by email to our mailbox team@selfstorage-investments.de, which we operate with Microsoft (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland) as part of Microsoft 365, and
- where applicable, to our internal customer management system so that we can process and follow up on your enquiry.
A data processing agreement is in place with Microsoft. We delete your details once they are no longer needed to handle your enquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Details about sites or projects are only passed on to third parties with your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
6. Spam protection with Cloudflare Turnstile
To protect the forms against automated submissions (spam, bots), we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile is only loaded once you click into a form and then uses technical characteristics of your browser (e.g. IP address, browser properties) to check whether the input comes from a human. No advertising cookies are set. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in functioning forms free of abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The provider is Cloudflare, Inc. as named above. 7. Newsletter
For the newsletter, we process your email address on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by emailing team@selfstorage-investments.de.
8. Industry news, external links and translations
The news page shows headlines, source and date from public RSS feeds (including Google News and Inside Self Storage). The articles are retrieved on the server; viewing the news page does not connect your browser to these services. Only when you click on an article or on “Read in English (Google Translate)” do you leave our website. The respective provider or Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) then processes your data under its own responsibility. The same applies to other external links, for example to costore.de or fedessa.org.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise these rights, simply contact team@selfstorage-investments.de. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
